Birthing Earth

We finally gave some time to Earth

To recover, to unwind, to prepare for a new birth.

It has been too much, too tiring

All its children running, running,

Asking her to give, to give

And she gave and sacrificed,

Yet to complain was all they did -

Mother Earth why do you earthquake?

Mother Earth why do you flood?

Mother Earth why are you dry?

Mother Earth why a Tsunami?

Mother Earth why so strong wind?

And Mother Earth just said at last

'I am too tired and too old,

I gave and gave and still you don' t.

I just want to live in peace

But there cannot be any peace

Until you my loving children,

You will learn how to protect

And in balance keep the nature,

Give it time, to breath, to nurture,

Make your cycles be in balance

With the one that gave you life.

And so it was the Unknown Force

Just stepped in and helped the Earth,

Gave its children a big lesson,

A final class and an exam

Hoping that this indeed will help

To just wake up and see the truth,

It is only our own self making

That can evolve or crush the life.
