A different kind of winter story

Who said winter is over? In fact seems like winter just started. Europe has been hit by snow and it's a fairy tale land now. Everything is covered in white and snowflakes are falling from the sky. In temperate climates we get less and less of this magical time recently. But maybe this makes us appreciate more this beautiful time. Yes, I know, it's cold and you get sick, but turn the inside fire on to warm you up while you have some fun in the snow.

Get warm and fluffy with some cozy jacket and go outside. Be fancy or casual or sporty, it does not matter, just enjoy the snow.
Create a story in your mind and let it play out. The story I chose for today is Little Red Riding Hood, which in this version has changed her riding hood color to pink to help her see life much brighter, but still kept some little red around. You need to put some passion in everything, she said.

And off we start our story.. and how was that story? She was searching for a wolf or was the wolf hunting her? Or was she the wolf?

No, she was not the wolf! Well yeah, in each of us there is a good wolf and a bad wolf, but we are not talking about that now..

We are talking here of a girl in search of a wolf.. they say when you search for something you need to visualize it.. so she thought about the wolf.. was it black, gray? Large, thin? That didn't work much.. so she thought again about the old story.. what was the girl doing in the old story?
She was walking to her grandmother's house..

Or was she dancing while on her journey?

Well it's always better to dance, so whenever you have to choose, choose to dance!
Coming back to the story.. what were we doing.. we were looking for a wolf while on our way to grandmother's house.

Confronting the cold and the wind and the snow with such determination to find the wolf, she finally arrives at grandmother's house.

While walking up the stairs of the old house, a thought comes to her mind.. there is no one in the house, the wolf is not there either, grandmother is long gone to a better place.. but she rememberes something else, another story of long forgotten childhood memories when the snow was so high on the ground, you got stuck in the house for days while you were just looking off the window, waiting for the moment when you could go outside and build yourself your snowman.

So there, on the stairs of the house she makes the decision to stop pursuing the wolf, forget everything about the initial story with its goods and bads and just enjoy winter, build a snowman and remember how it was to be a child, without worries, without scopes and objectives, just enjoying every moment for what it is.

Never be afraid to change the story. You are the creator of your own life. You make a choice every step you take, if you feel something is not right it is in your responsibility to change it.

They say live in the present, but what they should say it's - remember how to be a child. A child always lives in the present. A child can get upset one moment, while the next one forgetting everything and just laugh and smile.
That, I believe, is the biggest lesson a child can teach us.
So be creative! Be a child! Smile! Create your story! Work and Play!
And at the end a winter song, because life it's so much better with music:
