Purple Rain Wisdom

Even if it is December now, the season of rain is still here. The most beautiful song about rain I think it's "Purple Rain" by Prince, and this has been my inspiration for an autumn-rain-photo session, for which I want to give thanks to Stefan Surugiu (photographer) and Tania Creciun (hair and make-up).

With the end of the year approaching I think you cannot help but get nostalgic. Yes, work is very important, it is the means by which we create our life. But as important are also our relationships, our personal life which gives us the energy to create. So this article is about relationships.

The first and most important relationship is the relationship you have with yourself. No, it's not just a myth or a saying, it's reality.

It's very important to find the path to self-discovery. We discover ourselves first and most importantly through the relationship we have with ourselves, but also through the relationships we have with other people.

All the people around us are mirrors showing us parts of ourselves. It might not seem that way, but if you look really deep you will see it is true, at some level.

At first we might not recognize this because these are parts of ourselves we have not yet discovered or parts that we don't want to see.

Only once your relationship with yourself is complete, will come that relationship with someone that is just perfect, perfect in the sense that it all comes together and flows naturally for both and true love can be born.

Does this mean that all the other relationships or attempts before were any less or that the other persons that were in your life were any less deserving of love? Of course not! They have come and been or are in your life to teach you love, to show you parts of yourself that you need to start accepting and start loving.

Once we start loving ourselves fully and embody love, we will see our perception changing, we will stop judging, we will see nobody is nor good, nor bad, they just are. It will become more about what resonates with us and what doesn't. However, we will treat everyone and everything around us with respect and pure love.

It is the moment we forgive and accept ourselves and everyone around us.
