Our mental state manifests through our behavior and physical well-being and as a well in how are homes are organized. Our home, the place where we live, becomes an extension of us as a person.
From time to time is good to stop and inspect the state, look and aspect of our home in order to bring into consciousness hidden things of our subconscious.
There is a very wise saying - “Keep your own house and its surroundings pure and clean. This hygiene will keep you healthy and benefit your worldly life” - Sathya Sai Baba. Taking care of your home means taking care of you.
Make sure your home can provide all that you require: an organized and clean place to cook, an organized, sanitized place to store food, a nice, quiet place to enjoy food and nourishment, a relaxing, soothing, inspiring place to bathe and pamper yourself, an energized corner/room where you can work and manifest your service to the world, a relaxed, beautiful place to de-stress and disconnect from outer disturbances and just connect to your inner world, make sure to also have the proper means of entertainment and how to manifest your skills and hobbies (that art room), make sure to have also a garden or at least some plants if you live in a flat; also organize a terrace or at least a corner couch with/or without a table and chairs to entertain guests and spend time with friends and family.
Every home is a micro-universe, an extension of yourself, a manifestation of your inner and outer words as they interact.
Look at each of the corners/places mentioned above, do they exist? How do they look? Are they tidy, organized, arranged in an inspiring way? What feeling do you get when gazing at these places? What feeling do you have spending time or doing different activities in these places? Is something missing? What? Do you feel safe, at home? If not, take the necessary measures to improve these. Even if you don’t own the place, you just rent or plan to move away at one point, don’t be afraid to make small efforts and investments for a momentary well-being, after all what we have is right now and the present moment. That momentary well-being you create be sure it will follow you even when you move out and you will also get a nice feeling you created a beautiful, healthy mark.
Clean, tidy up, make a time schedule for this, re-decorate, move furniture around, re-decorate, restore and make investments in your home every month.
The results will be amazing! Inner and outer, make your new found healthy state of mind manifest outwardly in your life!
