There is a healing power in helping others for when you help another you help yourself first. Landing a helping hand floods our heart and brain with energy. Feeling we did good is uplifting, creating an energy that not only gives hope to another but it also helps you.

The opportunities to help are countless, waiting for you around the corner at each step.

All of you who helped at least once with an open heart, consciously and without expecting anything in return, know and understand the reward of such actions is better than anything we could think of asking or receiving.

In previous days I said how joy, happiness helps your immune system, harmonizing your body to work at its best, helping others infuses your system with an energy of happiness, of worthness, of accomplisment that makes your body functions and organs work at their optimal.

I also know that when helping others there can be the trap of being/feeling overwhelmed when detachment is not fully integrated. Still helping others and fighting feeling overwhelmed is a good practice for integrating detachment. Detachment does not mean not to feel, in contrary it means feeling with full trust the help/healing that’s really needed always comes.

When helping others, never let mercy be what moves you, forget that and let conscious be your guide. Helping others means smaller and bigger gestures as well.

Start building a list with how you want to give help forward and start integrating this in your everyday life. For inspiration, here is my list:

  1. Hold the door for somebody.

  2. Help older people carry heavy bags, cross the street, go up the stairs. Of course, ask first if they want to be helped.

  3. Lend a neighbor something they need.

  4. Help co-workers without fearing they will get awards that you could receive instead. Trust yourself, trust your worth, trust balance always comes.

  5. Help a friend by just listening and showing support even when you’re just too tired. Remember to give advice only if it’s asked for and even then with a lot of precautions.

  6. Help a humanitarian cause, organization by donating or volunteering.

  7. Help the environment by becoming conscious of your waste and consuming less.

  8. Help a homeless with a meal, some clothes or where/if possible offer them work/a place to stay/education so they can rebuild their life.

The list can be expanded and many more actions added on it. Build your list today and start giving help and receive the wonderful energy from helping others with an open heart.
