We all have heard about how cats absorb negative energy, how they tend to come to you and sit on or lick the aching spot when you feel sick or are in pain. Dogs do the same, they try to warm or lick the place in pain or hurt. And many other animals show the medic inside when the situation requires it.

There are many other aspects about animals that bring healing to us; they remind us about a mindless world where everything is done by instinct, yet a world so full of love. Animals make us smile with their innocence, their clumsiness and their stubbornness some times.

I believe they remind us of a part of us we sometimes forget in this unscrupulous world and they remind that you can survive and still be innocent, loving and even clumsy.

Who has time to worry about things at work when you get home and the most loving, joyful being jumps on you or sneaks in between your feet, demanding love and attention? You have no escape from their healing love.

Even a fish or a turtle in their cool aquarium will mesmerize you, making you forget about worries and just make you enjoy watching their simple, innocent life.

They also remind us how important and powerful our mind is and how it can influence us, the interactions with others and our reality. The best example for this is horses. Your state of mind and emotions have the biggest impact on them, a horse is led not so much by using the halter and bridle or the horse beating stick, but more with your mind. Your mind and the mind of the horse need to become one to be able to ride freely, joyfully. I think this is a great example of how amazing the power of our mind is, sustaining the premise that a healthy mind will give a boosting immune system.

The recommendations for today are:

  • Adopt a pet

Being any kind of animal, whatever feels right to you and you feel the connection, make it your buddy and your responsibility. Remember, as much as you would need and want the healing power of a pet, make sure you are ready to give back. A pet does not only require food and water, it also requires your time, love and attention.

  • Pet care volunteering

Offer your availability to take care of the pet of a friend or volunteer at an animal shelter, shop or hotel.

Be friendly, loving and caring with all animals that cross your path. Be ready to receive their love back.

  • Try horse riding

Be it you try it once in a vacation or decide to make this a recurring activity or even decide to own a horse, try it and discover the wonderful feeling of deep mind connection.

  • Donate to animal campaigns

We are responsible for the life of all animal on this Earth and we need to start showing our respect and stop treating them as below us on the evolutionary scale but rather start serving them as well.

  • Animal life videos and photos

Watch an wild life documentary, collect funny photos of pets and wild animals, watch funny videos or videos with beautiful animal stories. I recommend The Dodo Facebook and Instagram channel.

Start to connect now with these beautiful, innocent creatures which make life so much more beautiful.
