This is one of my favorite practices - being in nature, giving to nature, respecting and loving the forests, vegetation, mountains and all the smaller and bigger creatures roaming the earth.
Without this Earth-connection, life would not be, we would not exist.
I know that in the current trying times this is a harder practice to achieve, yet it’s still possible even in a high floor level apartment.
I will dive right into the recommended practices.
Practice 1: Build a home garden
The ones that have a backyard are so lucky and I hope you get dirty in the ground and tender to your plants, trees as often as it is needed and also that you take some time each day to just enjoy, feel and be thankful for the garden you have.
For those of you who don’t have a backyard, I hope at least you have at least one plant in your home. If you don’t, order one today!
Besides being fresh air providers, plants also keep us connected to the Earth. Changing a plant soil is one of the best remedies for anxiety, stress and heart disease, making you calm, grounded and happy.
You can only smile once you see a plant happy in a new pot.
For the more sensitive ones I recommend talking and singing to your plants and gently touch their leaves and flowers.
Practice 2: Contribute to planting campaigns
Earth is our provider, our life sustainer, it gives us everything we need and from time to time it is natural for us to also give something back.
Joining a planting campaign is one of the most uplifting activities, besides giving the chance to contribute to a better environment it also offers you the wonderful experience of playing with soil for growing life. So it is a beautiful creative practice.
Practice 3: Walk in nature
Go for a walk in the park, on the coast, in the forest, on a valley, on a mountain and once you do this appreciate it and give thanks for the privilege of being alive.
All these activities bring pure health, clearing your lungs, relieving blood pressure, harmonizing your heart rate and renewing you cells.
Begin today to build and enjoy your garden/plant/plants and give and show your appreciation to nature everyday.
